Shooting Session - Day 1

Day 1;
All the members of the group attended the first session of filming.
We shot from 12:30pm on Saturday 5th March and managed to shoot all of the scenes we planned too, and finished filming around 4:30pm. We originally planned to shoot till 5:30pm but we had to cut it short as it started to rain.

How did the filming go?
Our first day of filming went very well and luckily every member of our group turned up on time. We managed to get shoot every scene of our film. We had planned to shoot as many scenes as we could and we were lucky that we had managed to finish the whole film.
Different members of our group brought different camera equipment and props. We had all the props and costumes we needed and the actors we're also available for us to use. The location we chose was my house and street, and the location was suitable to shoot our film and we managed to shoot the whole film with only a few minor problems.

Problems:
When we were shooting our film, we came across a few problems during the day. A few of these problems were that the camera ran out of battery as we were shooting one of the scenes.
Another problem was that when we were filming outside with the dolly and tracking equipment, the camera stand didn't hold the camera probably.
The weather was a major issue when we were filming, it started to rain near the end of the day and as most of our scenes are outside, we had to cut our day of filming shorter than we had planned.
Before we started filming we found out that the tape we originally had, had a lock on it so we were unable to film anything.
Our final problem was that we had to wait for one of our actors to come home before we could shoot our final scene. We needed her to shoot our last scene as she had to drive the car around the street and that was part of our final scene.

How were the problems solved?
Luckily we managed to solve the problems that occurred throughout the day. We were fortunate that we had the camera charger with us so we managed to solve that problem by taking a short break whilst we left the camera to charge. We solved the problem of the camera stand not fitting the camera correctly by using the tripod to shoot some of the scenes instead.
Although the weather was a major issue, luckily we managed to carry on shooting as firstly the rain was only light and didn't affect us but later in the day we had to have a member of our group holding an umbrella over the camera so that the lens didn't get wet. We had to be careful that it didn't affect the light so we held it quite far back and out of shot.
We were also lucky that Demi's dad had another tape that we could use and we were able to shoot our film like we originally planned.
We waited for Demi's mom to come home before we shot our last scene. When she arrived we managed to shoot the film like planned and we then had access to her car, and we were able to finish our day of filming.
