Thriller clip 3 - Piranha

This is my third clip of a thriller Piranha is a comedy, horror and thriller. The target audience for this film is late teenagers and adults which again is similar to the target audience to our film. It is about a prehistoric man eating fish. Music is used when the piranhas are about to attack, this technique creates tension and gets the viewers attention because from the music the viewer will know that something is going to happen. As well as music they also use screaming to show the characters in panic and to show the reactions of the characters. The location of this clip is a lake, in the most part of the clip it is daytime even though most thrillers are mainly set at night when it is dark as you are not able to see as well in the dark as you you are during the daytime. Piranha is a different type of thriller for what we will be doing for our final film although this trailer it can be useful to see how they have done a thriller and what conventions they have included or challenged such as the use of music to create tension and screaming but set it in daylight.
