Thrillers

All films have different types of genres which are the different characteristics that the film is based on. The genre that I will be focusing on during the whole making of our media film is thrillers. Here I have researched about thrillers because the film that we are going to make is of the thriller genre, the task that we were given is to make a film of the thriller genre for our final film. We are attempting to do a thriller instead of a sci-fi film as it would be more difficult to create that rather than making a thriller. 
The genre of the film we are going to make is a thriller. A thriller is a genre of a film that’s main elements is suspense, tension and excitement. Some subgenres of thriller are mystery, crime and psychological thrillers. A main explain of a thriller are the Hitchcock’s movies such as Frenzy 1972 thriller film that was directed by Alfred Hitchcock as well as Psycho 1960’s which was a psychological thriller also directed by Alfred Hitchcock.

Characters in a thriller include criminals, stalkers, innocent victims, characters with dark pasts and more. Most thrillers take place in ordinary cities and suburbs although sometimes they may take part wholly or partly in exotic places such as high seas, foreign cites and deserts. Thrillers mainly include menace, crime, violence and murder showing society as dark and dangerous they also mainly seem to have a happy ending where the villain is killed or arrested. Thrillers promote moods such as anticipation, expectation, anxiety, uncertainty and even terror by including plot twists, cliff-hangers and red herrings.
