Evaluation Question 7

Here is the preliminary task and then the main task which is our final film. Since the preliminary task our skills have improved as we were able to see the mistakes that we made in the preliminary task and see how to improve for our final film. Mistakes that we made in the prelim task or what we could of improved was that the title for the preliminary task is spelt wrong 0.05 seconds. There is also bad framing in the prelim task as in one shot it misses of the top of Eve's head at 27 - 32 seconds, these is a small jump cut at 41 seconds when Demi walks out of the door. Also in the preliminary task there is no sound effects or music included so it is quite plain and simple the titles are also very basic.
In the main task the framing is better than in the prelim task this is one thing that we learnt from the preliminary task is to check that everything we need is in the frame. There is no spelling errors in the titles either as we checked them to make sure, the title are also not as simple and basic as they were in the preliminary task as we have learned how to do different types of titles. In the main task which is our final film we used sound and music much more as we didn't in the preliminary task. We added a ident to the final film which also has sound included in it 0.00 - 0.06 seconds to makes it more interesting and professional. We used others sounds such as music all the way through the film and sound effects such as breathing at 47 seconds to 1 minute and 5 seconds and again at 1:31 to 1:57. by adding breathing in it made the scene more tense. We have used faded through out the film between different scenes and we used faded with the music so that it sounded better. We used different music at 35 seconds to 43 seconds for when the young girl is dancing in her room. In the final film we included panning and zooming in such as between 0:07 to 0.22 seconds and panning again at 0:23 to 0:34 seconds.
We also learned form the preliminary task the importance of time management so we created a shooting schedule by having a shooting schedule it helped us to be more organised it also helped us to know what scenes we are shooting that day, what actors we need, what props we will need in that scene and the location of the scene. We learned planned much more for the final film compared to the preliminary task in order to plan our final film and to make sure that we had a clear indication of what we were going to do we created a storyboard, script and a treatment for our film. To see how we could improve our final film we gathered feedback so we can see what our people think of our film and how they think that we could improve it. We worked very well as a group as we spilt the work evenly and didn't just leave it to one person to do the whole thing even though, we worked well together for the preliminary task I think that we worked better as group for the final film. This is because we helped each other out with parts that we individually found difficult such as creating the storyboard or the script and worked together with the filming as much as we could and editing as well the communication between the group was excellent so all of the group members knew when we were filming and when we were going into editing, we also knew what stage the film was at when a group member did some work on the film either alone our with other members.
